Zari trims and borders
115 designs in this range
Zari is the metallic thread that gives Indian borders their weight and their shine, and the difference between a good zari trim and a cheap one shows up after a season rather than on the shelf: the poor ones dull and shed. What we weave is meant to sit on garments that get worn again, which is a different specification from what goes on a one-evening costume.
Gold, antique gold and silver read very differently against a fabric — antique reads warmer and hides age better, bright gold is louder and less forgiving. Order the piece and hold it against the cloth before you commit; metallics are the single hardest trim to judge from a photograph.

Buying from this range
- Can I buy a single piece from this range?
- Yes. There is no minimum on any design here, and nothing in this range is sold only by the bundle.
- How do I know the width before it arrives?
- The width in millimetres is listed on the design and in its specification, and it is the measurement to check against your seam before you order. Hold a ruler to that number rather than judging the photograph, which is shot close.
- How do I compare two designs in this range?
- By their specifications rather than their photographs: technique, width, put-up and how many colourways exist, listed the same way on each. Where we do not hold a figure it is left out rather than guessed at.
